Skoolz Out.
We closed today until Monday for a flu outbreak. One-third of our students and one-third of our teachers were out today. We'll see what happens, I guess.

I began teaching almost two years ago, but I started out doing long-term substitute jobs. I got my first real teaching job right after Spring Break last year. This is my first beginning of the year. I am a reluctant grownup. So far by students (since I am a liberal in Texas) I have been called a fascist, a communist, hater of my country, asked if I believed in abortions, not just any abortions, but "the kind where they stab babies in the neck," and asked if I believe in dinosaurs.
